Story
Areté Complete by Paul Moston is a multidisciplinary studio exploring the intersection of performance, form, and craft.
Founded in 2014, the studio began with a single object: a luxury sport towel balancing technical function with tactile, material-driven design. Over time, the work evolved—drawing from Bauhaus principles, utilitarian form, and the quiet geometry of nature—to create garments that move with the body while remaining grounded in process and precision.
Each piece is designed and dyed in our Philadelphia workshop, where we work closely with fiber suppliers and manufacturers to develop sustainable textiles that honor both performance and perception. Every detail is intentional—the weight, the texture, the way fabric responds to movement—ensuring that each garment is as functional as it is considered.
Areté Complete is not about seasons or trends. It is an ongoing investigation of structure, motion, and material intelligence—a system of wearable tools made with the same clarity and care as the instruments we use every day.
